Half way through 2023

How the fuck is it already June? Like seriously, it feels like I was clearing people out of my life in an attempt to start fresh like, yesterday, and now it's fucking June? What gives?

Alright well... Roleplay is still going strong with the Read Dead server. Onyon joined us (not sure if I mentioned that last time) and we've even made some really good friends out of character. We invited Porkchop (Colette) and Komodo (Ash) to the Discord server so we could spend more time with them and it's been really nice. I think I've made some actually good quality friends. Makes up for the low quality friendships I put an end to this last year.

It's been really fun playing a character. Ulrich (my character) is in the middle of this strange romance storyline with a guy named Andy (played by Beady) who's living a whole double life that Ulrich is blissfully unaware of. I've been trying to keep an accurate storyline of events and stuff but it's taxing to keep massive logs of everything that happens.

Outside of roleplay, I've been working on a video game in my spare time. I call it PxlHrvst and it's a little idle farming simulation game. You basically till dirt, plant crops, water them, wait for them to grow (in real time) and then harvest them for coins that you can use to buy more seeds. The higher your level, the more varieties of crops you can grow etc. etc. It's kind of dumb and there's no real objective - but it was a good excuse for me to refresh my knowledge of XAML and Windows Presentation Format.

Other than video games and roleplay, work has been good and I've been trying to make some headway on the house.

On the weekend Dad and I welded cleats to the posts for my garage! Painted with a primer, I'm basically ready to have the plates welded on site. That means my garage will have some verticality and technically a structure will be in place! I am also incredibly excited for the new season of "And Just Like That" (yes, the Sex and the City reboot) later this month. As much as it does not live up to the original, it's far from the worst continuation/reboot of a series I've ever seen (Looking at you Code Lyoko). Plus apparently Kim Cattrall is going to make an appearance as Samantha.

Dan mentioned my birthday the other day. Kind of strange really, the guy who said he hates birthdays and wants nothing to do with them informing ME that my birthday is coming up. Another year down, another year closer to 30. That's depressing. What's even more depressing is knowing that a year ago I was back at work after my trip to Warrnambool that felt like 20 minutes ago.

Oh well, bought some really nice gin with Dan on Monday so perhaps I shall just drink my thoughts of turning 30 away. That's healthy right? :)
